Lynotype

Lynotype Lynotype is a machine for composing European script faces invented by MAGENTHALER, Ottmar. It can cast lines of characters, and spacing with a keystroke, eject composed type ready for printing. The word "linotype" comes from "line of type"and just as its name describes, the machine can cast not just one character but a whole line at the same time.
