[Saddle-stitch bookbinding experience]
Make "My Notebook," a notebook all of your own.


Make a special notebook of your own with a simple folding technique and large sheet of paper!
Learn how to create a notebook with saddle-stitch binding, the same binding technique used for the magazines you can find in a bookstore.

elementary school students
Schedule:Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 22nd July to 26th August.
Time :10:30-11:15, 13:30-14:15
Time required: 20-30 minites
Place :Prologue exhibition zone
Joining the class: Please gather at the venue of the prologue exhibition zone just before class time.
*Reservations cannot be accepted.


[Letterpress printing experience]
Create a colorful postcard


What kind of color appears when you layer red, blue, and yellow together?
Print your name in letterpress printing to create an original summer greeting postcard!
*Workshop participants will be working with messy inks.
Try to wear old work clothes or other clothes you are prepared to get dirty.

Schedule:Friday, Saturday, Sunday, from 24th July to 30th August.(except 28th August)

Joining the class:
Please gather at the entrance of the Printing House just before class time.

[Lithographic printing experience]
Let's print with agar

*By appointment only

Many confections and jellies are made from a cold, slippery, jelly-like substance called agar. All of us have eaten agar many times. In this class you will be printing with the same thing!

Capacity: 25 people (by appointment only)

Place :Gutenberg Room (Study Room)
Making a reservation: Reservations will be accepted at the information desk at the Printing Museum, Tokyo from July 22nd. (We cannot accept reservations by phone, fax, or email.) Reservations will not be accepted after the class reaches full capacity.

Schedule: Jul. 22, 2015 (Wed) - Aug. 30, 2015 (Sun)
Closed: Mondays
Hours: 10:00 - 18:00 (final admission: 17:30)
Admission: Adults: 300 yen
University students: 200 yen
High school students: 100 yen
Children up to junior high school age (15 years old): free
* Admission charges may change during Temporary Exhibitions.

*50 yen discount per person in groups of more than 20 people
*Free admittance to senior citizens (65 years and over)
*Free admittance to visitors holding handicapped-persons' cards and their attendant
