Presenting books selected by the book art foundation Stiftung Buchkunst in 2003 from among new publications in that year as "the most beautiful German books." Our visitors are encouraged to actually pick up the books on display so as to be able to fully appreciate their quality and beauty.
The number of books entered in the competition has increased over the years, and of the 876 entries in the year 2003, the 49 winning books that passed the rigorous screening process, and 7 that received honorable mention, are on display.
