This year marks the tenth year that books selected at The Most Beautiful German Books competition have been displayed in Japan, and Japan Book Design Concours is being held for the 40th time. In commemoration, the Museum is presenting publications selected at the two competitions.
Both competitions were established to encourage the creation of better and more beautiful mass-produced books. Our guests are invited to handle, peruse, and enjoy 60 publications from Germany and 34 from Japan, all carefully chosen by competition judges.
A film depicting what went on during the strict second review at the most recent The Most Beautiful German Books competition will also be screened.
