A Message from the Director

Dec. 4, 2015

Season of the "World Book Design Exhibition"

From December 5, 2015 to February 28, 2016, the Printing Museum, Tokyo is once again holding its annual World Book Design Exhibition. As we enter our 14th annual exhibition, we encourage our customers and others with an interest to send us their valuable opinions.

As in all years, the upcoming Book Design Exhibition will showcase contest-winning works from around the world together with winning works from a bookmaking contest held at home in Japan. Nearly 200 works will be shown. The winners were selected through careful examination and consideration of hundreds upon hundreds of superbly designed entries.

A highlight for the year will be innovative designs from a region we have not closely watched so far: Denmark, The Czech Republic, and other countries of Nordic and Eastern Europe. We invite you to the exhibition to see and interpret the unique book designs and thematic messages from these countries and from the rest of the world in great breadth and variety.

Please brave the winter weather and to come see us at the Printing Museum, Tokyo.
