A Message from the Director

Dec. 13, 2019

"World Book Design 2018-19" is at the center of beautiful book design.

The Book Design Exhibition season is again upon us. The "World Book Design Exhibition 2018-19" is now being held at P&P Gallery. As the coldest time of the year, we consider this season to be perfect for reading books. We would like to fully embrace the joy of perusing through beautifully designed books this year as well.

In this exhibition, we will be displaying around 170 books, including prize-winners from the Competition "Best Book Design from all over the World" held in Leipzig in March 2019, as well as others from participating countries (Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Canada, and China). 2019 in particular is a significant year because it marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Austria.

We hope that you visit Printing Museum, Tokyo to personally enjoy the beauty of a number of amazingly designed books.
