Thank you very much for visiting the World Book Design 2021-22 exhibition, the 15th of its kind at the P&P Gallery, featuring approximately 160 award-winning books from the Best Book Design from All Over the World 2022, the 55th Japan Book Design Awards, and book design competitions in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Canada, and China.
With efforts underway around the world to rebuild the "normalcy" altered by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's book design competitions in various countries seem mostly to have been held as usual, thanks to the efforts of the people involved.
Even more exciting news in this context is that, for the first time in more than a decade, a French competition has also been launched. New competitions have been started in other countries as well by enthusiasts who believe that criticism of paper book design brings more depth to the culture of paper books. We hope to introduce these developments by presenting award-winning works at this exhibition in future.
