Nov. 3, 2007 (Sat-holiday) - Feb. 3, 2008 (Sun)
10:00 - 18:00

Introducing the winners from two attractive books' concours held separately in Japan and Germany.

"The Best German Books" are selected by "Stiftung Buchkunst, Frankfurt am Mainm, Leipzig" from books newly published within that year. This concours has a reputation for strict screening. Typography, graphics, form, paper, printing, and binding are planned as per the bookmaking concept structured in accordance with the book's contents. These are strictly selected from the possible choices. Just 60 books selected from the 943 applications for books made using the most effective methods in 2006 are introduced.

"The Japan Book Design Concours" introduced last year aims to "create better and more beautiful books" and was held for the 41st time this year. 29 books critically selected from 363 applications from the perspectives of form, color, layout, design quality and cover functionality, material, printing, and bookbinding are introduced this year.

This selection of beautiful books from modern-day Japan and Germany is presented for your pleasure to actually hold and experience.
