A Message from the Director

Oct. 8, 2024

“Modern Japan Package 2024” has begun

This year’s Modern Japan Package exhibition, marking its 10th anniversary, showcases award-winning works from packaging competitions hosted by several organizations, along with carefully curated pieces centered around a featured theme.
Packaging, a familiar genre of printed materials, is evolving in both function and design through iterative trial and error, while remaining deeply connected to social trends. In recent years, it has also become a means of addressing social issues, such as by incorporating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives.
We hope this exhibition offers you an opportunity to view the achievements of initiatives undertaken at the forefront of package production in response to contemporary needs, and to explore the intriguing and profound aspects of packaging.
Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this exhibition, including all the award recipients.
