GRAPHIC TRIAL 2007
Apr. 24, 2007 (Tue) - Jul. 8, 2007 (Sun)
10:00 - 18:00
The "GRAPHIC TRIAL" exhibition commenced from last year explores the "Pursuit of Expression in Printing." This year we introduce the works of four graphic designers specialized in offset printing, with accounts of their printing experiments and achievements.
The 20 posters exhibited, five from each of the four creators (Katsuhiko Shibuya, Kazunari Hattori, Naomi Hirabayashi, and Masahiro Aoyagi), took nearly 3 months to produce through repeated trials with relief printing directors. The themes of the creations are unique and varied: "White Version to Plump Up 'White'" by Shibuya; "Crossing Lines of 4-CMYK Colors" by Hattori; "Pop Art with Offset" by Hirabayashi; and "Colors and Forms by Surprinting" by Aoyagi. The trial works leading up to the final creations are on exhibit at P&P Gallery.
