Shiny, glittery, bumpy, rough, smooth. These effects can be achieved by using what are called "special printing techniques", which employ materials and processes not found in conventional printing.
This exhibit features works created by employing such special printing techniques that make it possible to experience printed works in a variety of ways other than by merely looking at them. Here you will find surfaces that shine and sparkle, textures that are bumpy, rough, smooth, or soft to the touch, and even works featuring spices that will stimulate your olfactory nerves, all created to allow you to enjoy them without relying only on your eyes.The Magical World of Special Printing Techniques-come and discover the secrets behind printing effects that are sure to amuse and amaze.
