Works by Kyogoku Natsuhiko
Inaugural Exhibition of Director - Phase I
Apr. 12, 2025 (Sat)–Aug. 3, 2025 (Sun)
10:00–18:00 (final admission: 17:30)
This time, Kyogoku Natsuhiko has become the fourth Director of the Printing Museum, Tokyo. He is one of the novelists representing Japan and is also known as an artistic designer who personally lays out the type area of his books. His attitude toward pursuing readable font types and rich printing expressions leads to the Printing Culture Studies that our museum is aiming for. In this corner, we would like to introduce the diverse worlds created by Kyogoku Natsuhiko together with the materials from the museum collections in three phases.
Phase I (April 12–August 3, 2025): Works by Kyogoku Natsuhiko
Phase II (August 5–November 3, 2025): Kyogoku Natsuhiko and publishers in the Edo period
Phase III (November 5, 2025–March 1, 2026): Shorotomuraido series in the museum collections
