A Message from the Director

"Modern Japan Package 2023" begins

This year is the ninth time we are holding this exhibition. This exhibition introduces the pieces from the winners of the competitions held respectively by the three major packaging organizations in Japan.
Packages, which are one form of printed matter that is familiar to us, are strongly connected with our society in various genres that span from product package design to logistics. The development of packages is undergoing trial and error on a daily basis and their functions and design are evolving. Amid this, we are reducing CO2 emissions, a pressing social issue, and producing proper packaging which corresponds to a cutback in the use of plastics, and generating highly creative designs that drive the times.
This exhibition showcases approximately 100 winning pieces that reflect the results of repeated efforts in the package production site.
Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the winners of the package competition and those individuals who extended their cooperation.
