The theme for Graphic Trial 2020 is "baton," and in cooperation with Toppan Printing's printing director (PD) the possibilities of printing will be explored by five creators: Taku Satoh, Asao Tokolo, Aaron Nieh, Yuri Uenishi and Tomohiro Ichikawa.
Under the baton theme, these professional creators and PD have run at full speed as though in a relay race towards the goal of passing on the baton to future generations.
The world of printing has expanded the field of communication by achieving an evolution based on the fusion of plates, ink and paper with knowledge and skills, and has generated many new creations through the synthesis of creators' ideas and printing technology.
Come and look at the ideas of these prominent creators and PD, and the world of expression that has been made possible by the fusion with printing technologies. The exhibition will include poster works and the trial processes, passing on in an easily understood manner the attractiveness of printing.
