Introducing Tokugawa Ieyasu’s unknown publishing work
In 2000, the museum held an exhibit entitled, “Printing in the Edo Period—Ieyasu: Typographic Man” to commemorate its opening. Now the exhibit has returned in a miniature form. We will display printing type and publications focusing on Ieyasu’s publishing work, Fushimi block prints and Suruga block prints. Take another look at the influence Ieyasu had on Japan’s publishing culture.
