Comprised of 22 chapters with six columns and eight side stories about printing technology, this concept book celebrates our renewed general exhibition to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Museum.

    The book is composed of four chapters, namely, 1) Japanese books, 2) European books, 3) Woodblock prints, copperplate prints, lithographs and posters, and 4) Printing tools and printing machines. It navigates readers through the Museum’s unique collection, encompassing not only old documents and European books, but also an assortment of books on typography, Japanese and European posters, and printing tools and machines such as types and presses. Works that may not be displayed due to exhibition conditions can also be viewed in this book.
